China EV insurance registrations by brand for week ending Jan 19: Nio 2,800, Tesla 10,000, Xiaomi 5,600, BYD 55,000
Li Auto had 9,500 insurance registrations last week, Xpeng 9,400, Zeekr 3,600, Leapmotor 7,000 and Aito 6,100.
Onvo did not make it into any of the latest Li Auto lists and the Nio sub-brand had 1,800 insurance registrations in the previous week.
BYD exports 11,038 Shark pickups from China in 1st year of availability
BYD Shark exported 3,410 units in December, bringing full-year 2024 exports to 11,038 units.
BYD launched the Shark in Mexico on May 14, 2024, and the pickup is already available in more markets including Brazil and Australia.
