The Aito M8 is set to be launched in April and the updated M9 will hit the market later this month.
The M8 has a pre-sales starting price of RMB 368,000 ($50,790) and is expected to compete with Li Auto’s Li L8.
Global EV battery market share in Jan 2025: CATL 38.9%, BYD 16.9%
CATL and BYD’s combined EV battery installations in January amounted to 35.9 GWh, or 55.8 percent of the 64.3 GWh worldwide.

Those who buy Nio models on or before March 31 can take advantage of these subsidies.
For the Nio brand, the subsidies range from RMB 6,000 ($830) to RMB 10,000, and for the Onvo brand, RMB 2,000.
BYD to officially launch Qin L EV pure electric sedan on Mar 12
The Qin L EV all-electric sedan is based on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo and have a range of 545 km.
BYD will launch the Qin L EV at its Shenzhen headquarters, with an event set to begin at 7:30 pm Beijing time on March 12.
